Kelly and James

I can't tell you how much I loved this wedding.
Right from the booking I knew it - when Kelly phoned me for a chat I was browsing my local art department (my fav place). There amongst the charcoals and paper we chatted for 40 minutes about everything from her plans and ideas for their wedding day through to her love of their 3 young children (one of whom being a matter of weeks old!), she also told me it was fate that she found me... I was hooked ;)
We met a few days before when I travelled down to Reading for their legal ceremony, then the following Saturday I returned to Henley and what is hands down my favourite venue to date, Braziers Park.  An artists commune which only holds around 3 weddings a year, there are no airs and graces about this place.  Over a dozen residents live here (one being a naturist who had to cover up just for the occasion!).  But it's relaxed, charming, easy and incredibly beautiful.
Kelly and James set up their wedding on the terrace, simply yet stunningly decorated with ribbons, lace and paper lampshades.  The service was conducted by a good friend Christabel Saunders who has recently become licensed, this was only her second wedding and she rocked it!!  Then lunch and speeches - James is a restaurant manager and big food lover - and boy was the spread good :)
Then an afternoon of lounging in the sun followed by cakes and drinks in the barn, an all girl rockabilly band, and huge joints of ham roasting on an open fire.
About as perfect a day as you can get x

Kelly adapted this dress by adding sleeves - which had to be dyed with tea to match the colour! Apparently different brands give different shades... so now you know ;)

I found this 'bar' in the field out the back where many of the guests were camping! Amazing!

I stayed until it was too dark to focus, and left with a little envy for those that got to stay behind x
